San Francisco, the city by the bay, is located about an hour flight north of Los Angeles or a six hour drive from the city of angels. A convenient area of San Fran in which to call home base when traveling is the financial district.

For a real “American” breakfast, our Swiss friends enjoyed Dottie’s True Blue Cafe. While the wait is long--at least 45 minutes--it’s well worth it!  The place only has 10 tables. Plenty of locals frequent this place for the homemade foods and flavors.

journeyPod is your guide to luxury travel around the world. And around the world and a boat ride later is where we found a “hideaway”, an island tucked away off the coast of Nha Trang, Vietnam in the middle of the South China Sea.

Ever dream of your own private beach villa, complete with private pool, and private beach, and butler that answers to your every whim? Dream no further. journeyPod has found it for you!

Nha Trang, Vietnam, capital of Khánh Hòa province, is located about 280 miles north of Saigon. After you’ve trekked around Nha Trang and experienced the fascinating culture, the incredible food, and the most accommodating people, head to a place of total relaxation and privacy. A place so exclusive you need a private boat to travel there. And once you are there, you have nothing to do but relax. journeyPod recommends a Thai massage, performed by Tam, over a babbling brook.

journeyPod sat down with Six Senses Hideaway Ninh Van Bay’s GM, Godfrey Vas, for an inside look at this amazing island property. Although there are only 58 villas on theis island resort, they staff at Hideaway numbers over 470!  That’s more than 7 staff for each villa...talk about service!

Located at the fabulous Elbow Beach Resort, Lido Restaurant serves fresh seafood with a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean.

"Simplicity of the dish" is something that Lido strongly believes in. Chef Max Olivari uses sauces and spices to enhance the dish, not surpress it. This means less cream and butter sauces (Carb-conscious diners are in luck!)

Lido is part of the Little Venice Group Restaurants in Bermuda. On the Elbow Beach property guests can also enjoy sushi at the Seabreeze Lounge as well as a Mai Tai and afternoon snack at Mickey's Beach Bistro (Bermuda's first and only beach bistro!)

Listen in as General Manager, Ennio Lucarini, discusses the idea and cuisine of Lido.

Check out our podcast with Zeudi Hines of Elbow Beach!

Located around the corner from Grand Central Station in New York City is a hidden gem called The WheelTapper Pub. Here’s a trivia question for you... what is a “wheeltapper"?

If you’re thinking this is “just another Irish Pub,? have we got a surprise for you! I mean, seriously, how many Irish Pub’s have a AAA 5-Diamond Rating?!  If that doesn’t do it for you, we can mention that it has close to one million dollars in authentic Irish rail system artifacts scattered throughout the inside and outside areas. The bar was even brought over from Ireland--piece by piece! And don’t think everything about this Pub is old-school, it has certainly embraced technology by installing monitors that communicate the train schedules from Grand Central Station, real-time. So if your train is running seven minutes late, you can relax and enjoy that Guinness, instead of slamming it down...

journeyPod enjoyed a traditional Irish breakfast, complete with white and black pudding (I must admit, I didn’t know “pudding? wasn’t pudding--boy was I shocked!) Then journeyPod had a chance to speak with Chef Auggie and found out first hand what the heck a “wheeltapper? really is...

Check out the Celtic sounds of pod-safe artists, Great Big Sea and their song, Irish Paddy Festival.
